It is an unfortunate fact that we do break lots of 19 litre bottles. Once they’ve got more than one hole in they are scrap and luckily the plastics businesses are crying out for scrap polycarbonate.
It goes, we are told, to make polycarbonate motorcycle helmets, CD’s and safety glasses. A free dozen Bronte Water pens to anyone who know something we don’t about its uses, Tweet us at @BronteWater
Drinking cups find their way back to the warehouse for recycling and they go to a different plastics manufacturer to be made into polypropylene garden furniture.
Low density plastics, ABS, polythene bags and good old cardboard all find their way back into the system.
Our skip now gets emptied half as often which saves the company money. It’s a win-win all round!
